Terms of use
Last updated 7 November 2026
Draft. This text has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and may change before it is final. Items in [brackets] are still to be confirmed. Questions: support@otcblock.io.
These terms apply to otcblock.io, its API and the OTCBlock interface to the OTCBlock smart contracts on HyperEVM. The operator is [operator entity, to be confirmed]. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
A guarded pilot
OTCBlock is a guarded mainnet pilot. Only allowlisted wallets can trade, and each token has small per-token and per-account caps. The contracts have not had an independent audit. Smart contracts can fail, and you could lose the tokens you trade or list. Only use amounts you can afford to lose.
Who may use it
You must be legally able to agree to these terms, and using OTCBlock must be lawful where you are. You may not use it if you are in, or acting for someone in, [restricted countries and sanctioned persons, to be confirmed by counsel]. We may decline or remove any wallet from the allowlist.
Your wallet, your keys
OTCBlock never holds your keys. Your own wallet signs and sends every transaction, and you are responsible for it. Check every transaction and every address before you sign. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, or ask you to send us tokens.
How trades work
- Private deals and RFQ quotes settle in one transaction that moves both tokens straight between the two wallets, or does nothing.
- Market listings and offers lock tokens in the market contract until they fill or you cancel. Cancelling returns them at once.
- Counter-offers, quotes and notes passed through our API are messages. Only what the contract executes is a trade.
What the operator can and cannot do
The contracts' governance can add or remove wallets from the allowlist, enable tokens and set their caps, set the fee for new listings and deals up to a maximum of 1%, and pause new trading. Pausing never blocks cancelling or claiming. None of these powers can move tokens locked in the market or owed to you.
Fees
On the market, the seller pays a 10 bps fee on the USDC received, and the buyer pays none. For private deals and RFQ quotes, the fee is part of the terms you sign. Each side pays its own HyperEVM gas.
Not advice
Nothing on the site is investment, legal or tax advice. Reference prices are shown for convenience only and may be wrong or delayed. You decide every trade and the counterparty you trade with.
Acceptable use
Do not use OTCBlock to break the law, launder money, evade sanctions, manipulate prices, impersonate others, or attack or overload the site, the API or the contracts.
Third parties
HyperEVM, Hyperliquid's RPC and price services, your wallet, bridges and Telegram are run by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
No warranty and limits on liability
The site and contracts are provided as they are, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses from using them, including smart-contract failures, network problems or your own mistakes. [Counsel to set the final wording and any cap.]
Governing law
[To be confirmed by counsel.]
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
